The international Crossover Composition Award (CCA) was founded by Marie-Luise and Christoph Dingler to animate composers to write new pieces for two violins. It takes place every three years, the first one was held in 2009.
What’s special about this competition is its focus on the audience. The composers should try to touch the public emotionally and to enrapture them.
“Brilliant creation, organization and musicianship – the Crossover Competition really impressed me”
Benedikt Brydern (composer, violinist, 1st prize CCA 2009)
